Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zayden Petrov (ranked 1806 p4p, 1517 weight class) and William Riker (ranked 125 p4p, 111 weight class). Riker has chosen Soulfly - Pain as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zayden Petrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Riker! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riker goes for a double leg but Petrov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petrov continues to drive forward. Petrov throws a right and a left that Riker avoids nicely. Petrov punishes Riker's body with a nice straight punch. Riker catches Petrov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Riker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Petrov, pushing him back against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Riker.
Riker misses with a punch to the body.
Petrov jumps guard but Riker stands there with Petrov around his waist. Petrov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Riker is trying to trip Petrov. He has hold of a leg but Petrov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Riker persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Riker postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Riker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Riker distracts Petrov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Riker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Petrov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Riker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. It looks like Riker might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Riker is working Petrov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Riker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Riker lands a couple of elbows. Petrov has his foot on Riker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Riker works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riker postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Riker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Petrov is rocked! Riker with a nice head shot there. Oh Petrov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Riker arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Petrov's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). William Riker! William Riker spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
