Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Tommy Carter (ranked 4254 p4p, 4270 weight class) and Gozo Shioda (ranked 330 p4p, 333 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gozo Shioda!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shioda lands a nice hook to Carter's body. Carter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Carter misses with a hook. Shioda ducked under it nicely.
Shioda misses with a wild body shot.
Shioda lands with a shot to the body.
Shioda scores with a jab.
Carter takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shioda is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carter.
Carter was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Shioda cracks Carter with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Carter get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Carter looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Carter is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shioda catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Carter stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Carter walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Oh Carter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shioda throws a combination that misses
and Carter counters with a left to the body.
Shioda lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Shioda circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Carter tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Shioda wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gozo Shioda!
