The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamboa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wilder on his heels. He'll look to pass Wilder's guard now, I'm sure.
Gamboa is looking to advance position but Wilder has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Gamboa tries to lock up and control but Wilder gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wilder wants to get back to his feet but Gamboa is holding on tight.
Gamboa tries to reverse the position but Wilder maintains control.
Gamboa bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Gamboa connects with a couple of short punches.
Gamboa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gamboa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wilder is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gamboa is controlling him.

Wilder is staying active underneath Gamboa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wilder pushes Gamboa off looking to stand but Gamboa dives back in and keeps control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilder looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Gamboa shoots in for a takedown but Wilder shows good takedown defense.

Gamboa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wilder pinned against the cage. Wilder gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Guilherme Gamboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilder stuffs the takedown.
Quinton Wilder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guilherme Gamboa.
Gamboa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wilder pushes Gamboa off looking to stand but Gamboa dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Gamboa is working Wilder over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wilder wants to stand and escape but Gamboa is having none of it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gamboa stands up over Wilder, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Quinton Wilder's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Gamboa with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Jeez, Quinton Wilder's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Quinton Wilder's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
