This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 12 wins and 19 losses; Leonard Howell! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Howell darts in and clinches Orozco up against the cage. Howell manages to pull guard.
Orozco stays in close to Howell's body and controls the position. Orozco won't allow Howell to sweep him here. Orozco wants to control from the top but Howell keeps moving. Howell looking for a sweep. Not yet Howell, not yet. Orozco is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Orozco is fighting to break Howell's control of his arms but Howell is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Orozco passes Howell's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orozco looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Orozco seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Howell wants to sweep here but Orozco controlling him for the moment. Orozco tries to free his leg and advance position but Howell is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Howell looking for a guillotine here but Orozco defends easily.

Orozco swivels though and keeps the full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Orozco holds on and takes a little breather.
