Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Wilder (ranked 1700 p4p, 3531 weight class) and Benjamin Espinoza (ranked 212 p4p, 398 weight class). Wilder comes into the arena with The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

I was talking to Wilder's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wilder has hold of one of Espinoza's legs. Espinoza is fighting the takedown attempt but Wilder gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wilder sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Espinoza's guard.

Wilder takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

George Wilder was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
