Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Allen (ranked 1780 p4p, 2098 weight class) and O Brian Nortega (ranked 156 p4p, 183 weight class). Allen's entrance music is Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edgar Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, O Brian Nortega! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nortega fails to land with a series of punches.
Allen is looking to counter punch. Nortega swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Allen appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Nortega misses with a left hand enabling Allen to counter with a crisp jab. Nortega throws a sloppy head kick and Allen counters with a lovely straight right hand! A shot to the liver by Nortega. Beautiful body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nortega tries for a takedown but Allen circles away easily and Nortega takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A head kick misses from Nortega.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nortega. Nortega throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Allen. Allen is looking to counter punch. Nortega throws a lazy body kick and Allen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nortega throws a lazy body kick and Allen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nortega looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Nice takedown defense from Allen. No joy for Nortega on that attempt. Allen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Allen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nortega shoots in for a double leg but Allen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Allen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Edgar Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of O Brian Nortega. Nortega looks to land a left hand but Allen moved out of range nicely. Allen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Allen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nortega throws a lazy head kick and Allen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nortega swings away with a body shot that misses
and Allen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Nortega shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Nortega takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Allen counters with a nice uppercut. Edgar Allen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nortega lands a jab-cross combination. Nortega missing with a left hand there. Allen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Allen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Allen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Nortega misses with a body punch
and Allen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nortega thinking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nortega works the jab nicely. Nortega looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. It looked like Allen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Nortega throws a head kick but Allen moves out of range.
Allen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Nortega swings away with a leg kick that misses. Nortega dives in for a single leg takedown but Allen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Nortega looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Allen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Edgar Allen will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Nortega lands a lovely overhand right. Nortega seems to have recovered his senses. Nortega throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nortega misses with a jab to the body
and Allen counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nortega pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Edgar Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of O Brian Nortega. Nortega shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Allen scores with a counter punch that sends Nortega to the canvas! Allen smells blood - he's punishing Nortega with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Nortega has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

An out of breath Edgar Allen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
