Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dazza Nicholson (ranked 5040 p4p, 25385 weight class) and Dixon Cider (ranked 513 p4p, 573 weight class). Nicholson comes to the cage accompanied by Big Dog. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dazza Nicholson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dixon Cider! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nicholson scores with a jab. Cider scores with a punch to the head. Nicholson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cider trying to control here.
Nicholson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Nicholson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cider trying to hold on to Nicholson's head to control him but Nicholson postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cider blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nicholson. Nicholson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nicholson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nicholson is working for a kimura but Cider is defending it quite comfortably.
Nicholson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nicholson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cider for as long as he can get away with. Nicholson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Cider still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Cider has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Nicholson struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nicholson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nicholson is trying to work for a sweep but Cider has mounted him! Nicholson is squirming around, avoiding Cider's attempts to control the action. Nicholson is trying desperately to improve position. Nicholson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nicholson tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cider wants to control the pace but Nicholson is squirming around nicely. Nicholson wants to hold on but Cider pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nicholson prevents Cider from taking his back. Nicholson is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cider controlling from the full mount. Nicholson regains half guard. Nicholson controlling the position well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nicholson moves into full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dazza Nicholson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Cider listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Cider misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nicholson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cider to the mat! Cider manages to get full guard. Nicholson controls from within his opponent's guard. Nicholson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nicholson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cider's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nicholson sitting in guard here, content to control. Nicholson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cider wants to sweep here but Nicholson controlling him for the moment. Cider keeping full guard, as Nicholson tries to pass. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nicholson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Cider keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Nicholson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cider can do to turn this around? Nicholson looks to land a combination but Cider avoids it well. Cider cracks Nicholson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Cider digs a good body shot into Nicholson's ribs. Dixon Cider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cider throws a body punch but Nicholson moves out of range. Cider looks to land a combination. Nicholson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A decent looking cross lands there for Cider. Cider connects with the punch. Cider throws an overhand right that drops Nicholson like a sack of potatoes! Cider dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dixon Cider!
