Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Koda Southam (ranked 25330 p4p, 24798 weight class) and Quek Wei (ranked 248 p4p, 266 weight class). Koda Southam has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Quek Wei!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wei shoots for a takedown but Southam saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Wei is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Southam to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Southam shrugs it off.

Wei with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Wei has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wei postures up and lands a big shot to Southam's brow.

Quek Wei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Wei escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Southam gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Quek Wei comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Southam has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
