Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tavish Gray (ranked 1050 p4p, 909 weight class) and James Darwin (ranked 137 p4p, 121 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tavish Gray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Darwin! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gray jabbing away but nothing is landing. Darwin moves into the clinch. Gray lands a body shot in the clinch.

Gray misses with a left hand and Gray takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Darwin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gray.
Gray seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Darwin tests Gray's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gray misses with a left hand and Darwin counters with a nice body shot. Darwin ducks under a wild hook from Gray. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Darwin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Gray swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gray ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Darwin moves away. Darwin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ground and pound from Darwin. Gray is trying to stand.
Darwin wants to free his trapped foot but Gray is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Darwin wants to control but Gray is keeping him busy. Darwin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Darwin works his way into side control. Darwin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Darwin working the ground and pound. Darwin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gray has escaped the position, nice work there. Darwin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gray tries to improve position but can't. Gray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Darwin on the ground. Darwin landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Darwin lands a decent elbow from side control. Darwin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Darwin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Darwin scoring with punches from side control. Darwin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gray! Darwin dominating with strikes here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Darwin lands a big shot to the head and Gray winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
