Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eliss Grov (ranked 4015 p4p, 1967 weight class) and Lieutenant Data (ranked 327 p4p, 181 weight class). Data comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slipknot - Don't Get Close kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lieutenant Data!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Data jabs Grov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Grov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No joy there for Grov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Grov slips a jab and a cross from Data.
Grov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Data has control of Grov's left arm, preventing Grov from doing any damage.
Grov postures up.
Data might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Grov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Data working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I would just about give that final round to Lieutenant Data.

Lieutenant Data decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
