Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Canetti (ranked 3883 p4p, 3812 weight class) and Marcus Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Canetti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Kane! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canetti gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kane controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Canetti is trying to keep Kane in close.
Canetti wants to stand and escape but Kane is having none of it. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Canetti wants to stand and escape but Kane is having none of it. Canetti manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kane manages to get himself to full guard.
Canetti wants to get up but he can't break Kane's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Canetti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canetti advances position into side control! Kane is looking for a sweep. Canetti gets to mount! Kane was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Kane is squirming around, avoiding Canetti's attempts to control the action. Canetti raining down hammerfists from mount. Kane tries to reverse the position but Canetti maintains control. Kane manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Kane, under a barage of strikes from Canetti.
Kane is looking for a sweep. Canetti is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Canetti seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kane tries to roll over but Canetti keeps him under control. Canetti thows a huge punch but Kane dodges it nicely.
Canetti prevents Kane from improving his position. Canetti is keen to just control but Kane is a slippery customer. Canetti perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Canetti wants to take a breather but Kane is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Canetti passes into side control, despite Kane's attempt to control the position.
Canetti trying to control the position but Kane is working away. Canetti slows the pace down. Canetti working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Canetti working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Canetti has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kane! Canetti has control of Kane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kane regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Canetti misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kane tries to lock up and control but Canetti gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Canetti tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kane is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Canetti dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Canetti doesn't manage to clinch there - Kane circles away.
Canetti sets himself, and Kane steps forward looking for the clinch! Canetti avoids it this time. Kane decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Canetti tries to get to full guard but Kane has control of the leg. Kane perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Canetti is pressing down on Kane's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kane stands and throws Canetti's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kane is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Canetti knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Canetti manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Canetti moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Canetti keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully. Kane passes Canetti's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Canetti makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Canetti. Canetti tries to strike from the bottom.
Kane postures up.
Canetti looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kane is one step ahead there. Kane looking to sit in guard and control but Canetti gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Canetti sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane controls Canetti momentarily but Canetti frees himself. Canetti showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kane keeping moving, preventing Canetti from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Canetti.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kane fails to land with a series of punches.
Canetti appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Kane digs a good hook to Canetti's body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kane.
Kane circles away from the clinch attempt.
Canetti throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Canetti throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Canetti to the mat! Canetti manages to get full guard. Kane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Canetti is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kane defends well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kane wants to pass the guard but Canetti is keeping the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Kane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Canetti shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kane is trying to defend but Canetti finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kane kicks off Canetti and gets to his feet. Kane misses with an attempted mid kick.

No luck for Canetti with that takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kane gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canetti shoots in for a double leg but Kane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kane drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Canetti defends it well. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Canetti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kane swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Canetti. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Canetti looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Canetti with a lazy takedown attempt and Kane counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kane. Kane pulls guard effortlessly. Kane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Canetti is one step ahead there. Canetti tries to free his leg and advance position but Kane is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Canetti avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Canetti throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kane works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Canetti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kane is looking to sweep but instead, Canetti has passed into half guard.
Canetti wants to take a breather but Kane is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane actively working from the bottom here. Canetti seems to be looking for submissions.
Canetti wants to stand up but Kane is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Canetti looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Canetti looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kane tries to get to full guard but Canetti has control of the leg. Canetti slows the pace down in half guard. Kane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Canetti is working away from the top position though.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kane has managed to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Kane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kane has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
