Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Smith (ranked 3115 p4p, 2017 weight class) and Gordon Garcia (ranked 263 p4p, 180 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Heave Away- The Fables. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dylan Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gordon Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot.
Garcia lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.

Garcia steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Smith.
Garcia tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garcia tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garcia to the ground. Garcia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Garcia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Garcia has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Smith tries to move into range but Garcia moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Garcia sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Garcia comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smith shoots in but no luck this time.
Garcia feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smiths jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Garcia, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Garcia against the cage but Garcia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Garcia to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith goes for a double leg but Garcia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Garcia continues to drive forward.
Smith has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Garcia clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

After winning the bout, Dylan Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
