Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabrice Trausch (ranked 25401 p4p, 24855 weight class) and Kyler Rivera (ranked 393 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivera has chosen Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle) as his entrance music. The key to victory for Fabrice Trausch has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fabrice Trausch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyler Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trausch.
Trausch misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rivera.
Trausch misses with a lunging right hand

and Rivera decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trausch's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Trausch manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Rivera is looking for a takedown.
Rivera goes for a takedown attempt but Trausch pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Trausch fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Trausch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And Rivera tries to counter it with a takedown but Trausch pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Trausch connects with a body shot that sends Rivera's belly button to the back.

Rivera ducks under a wild hook from Trausch.
Rivera changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Trausch throws the left hand but Rivera avoids the punch easily.
Rivera is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Trausch looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Trausch wants to get back to his feet but Rivera passes into half guard.
Rivera is taking a breather. Trausch says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A big right from Trausch misses.
And Rivera tries to counter it with a takedown but Trausch pushes his down on his head and steps out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Trausch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rivera moves away.
Trausch lands a slapping body shot.
Trausch looks to score with a jab to the body but Rivera is just out of range.
Rivera tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Rivera takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Rivera counters with a shoot takedown. Trausch fights it but they end up in guard.
Rivera prevents Trausch from getting back to his feet.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Trausch connects with a looping right hand.
Trausch lands a jab to Rivera's midsection.
Rivera takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Trausch throws a hook but Rivera avoids it easily.
We've been informed that Rivera has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivera takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Rivera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Trausch won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rivera works to advance to full mount. Trausch defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Trausch is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Trausch has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Rivera just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rivera is continuing to stall.
Trausch is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Kyler Rivera has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rivera is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Trausch is trying to stand back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Trausch is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kyler Rivera will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Trausch swings for the body but Rivera moves out of range.
Trausch feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Riveras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fabrice Trausch very nearly forgot to thank Bloodbath MMA Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
The defeated Kyler Rivera had this to say: 'I could have done better, and I'm disappointed in that performance I just had. But we'll get better. I just got to keep working cuh.'.
