And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 31 wins and 41 losses; Domingo The Flamingo! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The Flamingo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Shart is working for takedown but The Flamingo is calmly controlling the position for now. Shart is trying to pull guard but The Flamingo turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. The Flamingo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Shart engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Shart got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Flamingo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! That's four minutes gone in the round. The Flamingo manages to get back to half guard. The Flamingo won't allow Shart to pass to mount. The Flamingo is refusing to be controlled, as Shart sits in half guard. The Flamingo wants to improve his position but Shart is controlling well.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Shart is working for a kimura but The Flamingo is defending it quite comfortably.
Shart slows the pace down in half guard. The Flamingo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Shart controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The Flamingo pulls Shart in close to prevent any damage. Shart tries to free his leg and advance position but The Flamingo is retaining full guard. The Flamingo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shart is one step ahead there. The Flamingo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Shart uses it to pass to side control.
