Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Butler (ranked 4434 p4p, 3866 weight class) and Anderson Suarez (ranked 221 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Suarez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Maximo Butler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Maximo Butler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Suarez! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Butler cracks Suarez with an open hand slap.
Butler pushes Suarez up against the cage in a clinch.
Butler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Butler fails with the takedown.
Suarez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Butler kicks Suarez off and gets back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Suarez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Butler is not content to let Suarez control the position.
Suarez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Butler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Suarez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Butler lands with a hook. Suarez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Butler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Suarez sprawls well. Suarez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Butler gets slowly back to his feet. Suarez moves to clinch but Butler breaks away and Butler makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Butler closes the distance and pushes Suarez back into the cage. Suarez is trying to drag Butler to the mat but Butler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Butler gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Suarez.
Butler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Suarez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Butler did well to prevent Suarez getting side control.
Butler makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Butler fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximo Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Butler thumps Suarez with a low kick.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Butler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Butler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Suarez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Suarez showed some decent athleticism there. Butler manages to get to full guard.
Butler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Suarez controls the pace. Suarez stopping the sweep attempt from Butler.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Suarez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Butler swivels though and keeps the full guard. Butler is controlling Suarez's posture. Butler looking to control but Suarez passes into half guard.
Butler kicks Suarez off and gets back to his feet.
Suarez closes the distance and clinches.
Butler manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Suarez tries to clinch and Butler counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Suarez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Butler to the ground. Suarez is now in Butler's guard.
Butler scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Maximo Butler dominated that round. That's time! Butler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Suarez has his takedown stuffed and Butler counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Suarez looks to clinch and Butler counters with a right hand to the body. Butler looks for the body kick but Suarez saw that one coming.
Butler shoots in and gets a takedown into Suarez's guard. Butler stopping the sweep attempt from Suarez. Suarez is trying to control the position but Butler postures up. Butler drops back looking for a leg! Suarez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suarez manages to kick Butler off! Butler jumps back into Suarez's guard. Suarez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Suarez shoots and misses and Butler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Butler misses with a takedown attempt - Suarez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Butler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Butler lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Butler.
 It looks like Anderson Suarez has been cut. Suarez throws a series of punches but Butler avoids them all with ease. Butler looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Butler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Suarez is fending him off so far but Butler persists. Nope, Suarez circles away and we're back to standing. Nice shot lands for Butler. Butler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Butler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A head kick misses from Butler. Butler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximo Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Butler wants to clinch.

Suarez shoots in and bounces Butler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Suarez trying to control the position from guard on top but Butler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Butler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Suarez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Butler slips under a jab. Butler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Butler moves into the clinch. Butler makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Suarez is looking for a takedown.
Suarez manages to break the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Butler connects with the punch. Maximo Butler is winning the standup battle so far. Suarez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Butler as he jumps to the side. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Maximo Butler dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Anderson Suarez's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Suarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Suarez stopping the sweep attempt from Butler. Suarez is looking to work some ground and pound but Butler has wrist control. Butler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Butler tries to land a sweep but no joy. Suarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Suarez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Suarez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Butler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Suarez can do to turn this around? Suarez tries to stand but can't do so whilst Butler controls his leg. Butler has his hands clasped together around Suarez's back. He's all about the action.

Butler is trying to keep Suarez in close.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Butler throws a push kick but Suarez slaps the foot to one side. Maximo Butler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Butler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Suarez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Suarez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Suarez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Butler uses it to pass to side control.
Anderson Suarez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Maximo Butler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Butler moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Anderson Suarez. Well Butler has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
