Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus Fury (ranked 3249 p4p, 3046 weight class) and Fuxing Li (ranked 0 p4p, 343 weight class). Demarcus Fury had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Demarcus Fury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fuxing Li!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury fails with a takedown attempt.
And Li tries to counter it with a takedown but Fury pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fury shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Li counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Fury!
Fury is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Li is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Li wants to take a breather but Fury is having none of it.
Fury avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Li.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Li really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fury. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fury blocking the ground and pound attempt from Li.
Li seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fury tries to roll over but Li keeps him under control.
Fury moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Li's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Li postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Li keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fury's head.
Fury working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Li doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Li manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fury controls Li momentarily but Li frees himself.
Li distracts Fury with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Li must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Li is working Fury over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Li keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fury's head.
Li won't allow Fury to sweep him here.
Li postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Fury keeping moving, preventing Li from controlling successfully.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Li keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fury's head.
Li scoring with some ground and pound.
Fury has momentary wrist control but Li slips an elbow through the middle.
Fury is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Fury controls Li momentarily but Li frees himself.
Fury looking for a guillotine here but Li defends easily.
Li stands up over Fury, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fury is working hard here to advance position.
Li content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Fury has locked up a guillotine! Fury's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Li is holding on here and Fury must be using up a lot of energy. Li has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Fury gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
