Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chan Sung Jung (ranked 2355 p4p, 3164 weight class) and Brenden Hickman (ranked 204 p4p, 264 weight class). Jung comes to the cage accompanied by Zombie. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chan Sung Jung! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brenden Hickman! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hickman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A little feinted left hand from Jung on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hickman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jung circles away. Hickman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jung. Hickman tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Hickman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jung counters with a stiff right hand. Chan Sung Jung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brenden Hickman. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hickman shoots in for a takedown but Jung shows good takedown defense. Hickman shoots in for a takedown but Jung shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jung throwing a counter right hand but Hickman manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hickman shoots for a takedown but Jung saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hickman moves out of range as Jung strikes. Jung swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hickman feints the counter takedown. Jung throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hickman counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jung is trying to keep Hickman in close.
Hickman wants to control from the top but Jung keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jung will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hickman works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hickman wants to take a breather but Jung is having none of it. Jung is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hickman pulls his head out easily. Hickman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hickman passes the guard and advances to mount! Hickman jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jung is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jung and Hickman has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jung is trying to control Hickman's posture but Hickman avoids it. Jung tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hickman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hickman tries for a kimura but Jung is defending well. Jung gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Jung tries to hold on but Hickman pushes him away. Hickman seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Jung is holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jung is desperately trying to improve his position but Hickman has a good base and remains in mount. Jung bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hickman working a defensive guard but Jung passes into half guard.
Hickman is refusing to be controlled, as Jung sits in half guard. Hickman tries to roll over but Jung keeps him under control. Jung trying to control the action but Hickman is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hickman trying to hold on to Jung's head to control him but Jung postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chan Sung Jung will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Hickman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Hickman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jung trying to control but Hickman postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jung is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hickman wants to pass the guard but Jung is defending well. Hickman passes to side control. Jung is looking to regain half guard here but Hickman keeps moving and retains side control. Jung manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hickman is pressing down on Jung's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jung wants to pass the guard but Hickman is keeping the position. Hickman is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jung is sitting in close to Hickman's body. Hickman has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Jung is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Jung is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hickman.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Brenden Hickman! Brenden Hickman is the new featherweight champion!
