Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Mondale (ranked 4618 p4p, 4646 weight class) and Jaron Fletcher (ranked 443 p4p, 445 weight class). Mondale comes to the cage accompanied by Bad to the Bone. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Mondale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jaron Fletcher! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mondale forces Fletcher back against the cage and clinches. Fletcher takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Jaron Fletcher has been cut. Fletcher avoiding damage.
Mondale manages to pull guard.
Fletcher prevents Mondale from getting back to his feet. Mondale controlling the position. Mondale is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fletcher wants to pass the guard but Mondale is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mondale has a closed guard, preventing Fletcher from standing up. Mondale keeping moving, preventing Fletcher from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mondale is on top in guard.
Mondale pushes down on Fletcher's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mondale sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Fletcher defending well though. Mondale wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fletcher keeps working. Mondale passes to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mondale is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fletcher has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mondale is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fletcher is surviving well by controlling Mondale's body position as best he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fletcher is squirming around, avoiding Mondale's attempts to control the action. Mondale takes Fletcher's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Fletcher is in trouble. Fletcher staying busy and making it hard for Mondale to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fletcher wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Fletcher prevents Mondale from getting a body triangle. Fletcher showing good submission defense here.
Mondale looking for the RNC. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fletcher is keeping busy.
Mondale is really struggling to control Fletcher but he's trying to hold on to the position. Mondale throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Mondale biding his time, looking for the opening.
Fletcher tries to roll but Mondale sticks to his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Will Mondale go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Mondale dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jaron Fletcher's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Fletcher tries for a takedown but Mondale circles away easily and Mondale cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mondale fails to land the takedown. And Fletcher responds with a good body kick, but Mondale manages to step out the way in time. Fletcher will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mondale went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Mondale shoots in for a double leg but Fletcher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fletcher with the counter takedown but Mondale avoids it easily. Mondale shoots for a takedown but Fletcher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fletcher tries to counter with a clinch but Mondale shakes him off and moves away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Mondale. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mondale gets tackled into the cage by Fletcher. Fletcher maintains the clinch. Mondale is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mondale manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mondale bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fletcher's guard. Fletcher is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mondale dives into side control.
Fletcher is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mondale is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Mondale is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fletcher can do to turn this around?

Mondale is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Fletcher defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mondale is hanging on to Fletcher's back as he tries to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mondale is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Fletcher knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Fletcher for a finish. Fletcher trying to control the hands but Mondale won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mondale controlling from the back. Fletcher fending off the submission attempt from Mondale. Mondale is looking to control Fletcher but Fletcher is wriggling around and keeping busy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mondale moves into range and clinches up with Fletcher. Mondale jumps guard but Fletcher stands there with Mondale around his waist. Mondale gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fletcher uses from the top position. Mondale is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fletcher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mondale is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Fletcher presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Fletcher gets underhooks to prevent Mondale's takedown attempt.
Fletcher jumps guard but Mondale stands there with Fletcher around his waist. Fletcher gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mondale tries for a takedown but Fletcher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fletcher is looking for the big counter here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fletcher looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fletcher shoots for a takedown but Mondale saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mondale fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mondale darts in looking for a takedown but Fletcher gets double underhooks and turns Mondale into the cage. Mondale jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fletcher walks away with a smile on his face. Mondale gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mondale shoots in for a double leg but Fletcher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fletcher displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mondale.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fletcher forces Mondale back against the cage and clinches. Mondale manages to break the clinch.
Fletcher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mondale paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fletcher fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mondale avoids it really well and circles away. Mondale went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Fletcher stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fletcher wants it to stay on the feet. Fletcher misses with a takedown attempt and Mondale counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mondale shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mondale fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mondale dives in for a single leg takedown but Fletcher sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Fletcher fails to pull guard.
Jaron Fletcher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jack Mondale is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fletcher creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Mondale showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mondale has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
