Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Jim (ranked 3324 p4p, 4678 weight class) and Triston Manning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Triston Manning has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hannibal Jim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Triston Manning! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manning throws a hook to the side of Jim's head but Jim sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jim appears to be looking for a big counter. Manning throws an overhand right that lands on Jim's shoulder, as Jim tries to avoid the shot. Jim closes the distance and clinches up with Manning, looking for a takedown. Jim pushes Manning against the cage but Manning circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nice defenses there by Jim. Jim tries to clinch up but Manning circles away and keeps his distance. Manning looks to land a right hand but Jim moved out of range. Manning throws a lazy right hand but Jim sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jim feinted with a counter takedown. Manning misses with an uppercut. Jim saw that one coming. Jim fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Manning sprawls well initially but Jim persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Manning kicks Jim off and gets back to his feet. Nice defenses there by Jim. Triston Manning seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jim shoots in and gets a takedown into Manning's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jim prevents Manning from getting back to his feet. Manning is wriggling around but Jim manages to pass to half guard.

Manning throws a hook but Jim avoids it easily. Manning is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Manning throws a hook but Jim avoids it easily. Jim tried to counter with a leg kick but Manning avoided it. Jim misses with a takedown attempt - Manning sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jim throws a head kick that misses. Manning misses with a looping left. Manning throws an overhand right that lands on Jim's shoulder, as Jim tries to avoid the shot. Jim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manning but Manning pushes him off and we're back to square one. Manning throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A telegraphed right hand from Manning misses the target. Jim is looking to clinch but Manning is avoiding it.
Manning misses the jab. Jim moves out of range of the strikes. Jim defending well as Manning loads up on a big left hand. Jim seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Jim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Manning.
Jim drops down looking for a counter takedown but Manning sprawls and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Manning as Jim shoots in. Jim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Manning sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Manning swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Manning pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Manning is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jim is defending well for now. Manning throws a knee to the head but misses.
Manning looks winded! Manning scores with a nice hook to the head. Manning lands a hook to the side of the head. Manning lands a nice uppercut. Manning lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jim backwards. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Triston Manning dominated that round. That's time! Jim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Jim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manning but Manning pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jim fails in his attempt to clinch. Manning ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jim moves away. Manning fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jim manages to avoid it. Jim bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Manning pushes Jim up against the cage in a clinch. Jim is looking for a takedown. Manning with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Manning lands on the inside with an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manning pushes Jim back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Manning misses with an elbow over the top. A shot in the inside from Manning. Manning using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jim has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jim changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Manning fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hannibal Jim. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jim shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Manning as he jumps to the side. Horrible takedown attempt by Jim or perhaps it was just good defense by Manning, which made it look bad. Jim thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Manning if he has to take too many more of those.
Manning has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Manning jabs Jim right on the nose. Jim blinks but takes it well. Triston Manning is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Manning throws a looping overhand right but Jim ducks down to avoid it. Jim thumps Manning with a low kick. A swing and a miss from Manning. Jim fails with the takedown. Jim keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Manning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manning waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jim. Jim fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. We've been informed that Manning has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Manning throws the left hand but Jim avoids the punch easily. Triston Manning seems to be getting the better of the standup. Manning rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jim fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Manning looks to land a left hand but Jim moved out of range nicely. Manning rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jim moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Manning misses with a jab to the body

The fighters circling - Manning throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jim defending well as Manning loads up on a big left hand. Jim tries to shoot in for a takedown. Jim ducks under a wild hook from Manning. Jim bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Manning swats away the attempt to clinch by Jim. Manning might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Jim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Manning looks to land a right hand but Jim moved out of range. Manning crunches a lovely knee into Jim's ribcage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Manning obliges. Manning presses Jim against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Jim working hard to break the clinch. Jim throws a punch but it's blocked by Manning. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manning lands a left hand.

Triston Manning showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Jim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Jim slips under a jab from Manning. Jim goes for a double leg but Manning avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Manning continues to drive forward. Manning connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jim's face.
Manning misses with a knee to the head. Jim jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Manning walks away with a smile on his face. Jim gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Manning misses with a looping left. Jim changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Manning tries to avoid it but Jim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Manning to the ground. Manning escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hannibal Jim. That's going to take a lot out of him. Manning looks to score with a jab to the body but Jim is just out of range. Jim will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Triston Manning seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Manning tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jim avoids it. Manning lands on the inside with an uppercut. Manning makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Manning pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Jim has Manning pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Manning manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jim blocks an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jim tries to pull guard but Manning won't allow it.
Jim has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Manning is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Manning pushes off an throws an elbow but Jim leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Manning throws an elbow but misses. Jim blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Manning looking to throw knees to the head but Jim is blocking nicely.
Manning lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jim goes for a takedown attempt but Manning pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jim is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Manning's half guard. Manning avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jim.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jim is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jim landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Manning is trying to stand up here but Jim is controlling him well. Jim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jim is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jim throwing shots but Manning is blocking nicely. Jim slips a nice elbow through Manning's hands, connecting with Manning's forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jim is looking to take a break and control but Manning is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jim tries to stand and escape but Manning actually recovers to full guard. Jim trying to control but Manning is working from the bottom. Manning is looking to stand up but Jim isn't so interested in that idea.
And that's the end of the fight! Triston Manning comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Manning winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
