Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backland gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Carmont counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Backland is trying to control the position from the bottom.

It looks like Bobby Backland has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carmont looks up at the clock and then as Backland takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Carmont smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Backland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carmont. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
