Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Melendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wayne Walker!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Walker sprawls well initially but Melendez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Walker wants to control but Melendez is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Melendez shoots for a double leg takedown but Walker sprawls well. He's pushed Melendez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Walker thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Melendez if he has to take too many more of those.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Melendez connects with a nice short shot to Walker's temple.

Walker throws a nice looking combination but Melendez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Horrible takedown attempt by Walker or perhaps it was just good defense by Melendez, which made it look bad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
