Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Bundy (ranked 832 p4p, 2076 weight class) and Mitch Kingston (ranked 106 p4p, 244 weight class). Al Bundy is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Bundy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mitch Kingston! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Bundy misses the target. A big right from Bundy misses. A jab from Kingston misses. Kingston lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kingston uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bundy. Al Bundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kingston throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bundy sees it coming and avoids it easily. We've been hearing reports that Bundy has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kingston looks to land a left hand but Bundy moved out of range nicely. A head kick by Kingston misses and Bundy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kingston won't be happy with that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The strikes coming from Bundy are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Kingston is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kingston struggling a bit here. Kingston wants to get back to his feet but Bundy drags him back down. A bit of a lull in the action here. Bundy wants to control but Kingston is keeping him busy. Bundy throws an elbow but Kingston slips to the side and avoids it well. Bundy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bundy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! An elbow from Bundy crashes against the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bundy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bundy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kingston takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bundy working away. Kingston sneaks back into half guard. Bundy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kingston is controlling Bundy's trapped leg to prevent Bundy from advancing to side control. Bundy is trying to work for a kimura but Kingston is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kingston is trying to get back to full guard. Bundy is working for a submission of some sort.
Bundy is stalling here. Kingston is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bundy seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kingston has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Al Bundy will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Bundy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kingston counters with a nice body shot. Kingston throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bundy throws a hook but Kingston blocks it. Kingston looks like he wants to counter punch here. A swing and a miss from Bundy. Kingston looks to land a left hand but Bundy moved out of range nicely. Kingston closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kingston catches Bundy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kingston uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bundy. Bundy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kingston is trying to get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bundy tries for a kimura but Kingston is defending well. Al Bundy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bundy swings around for an armbar but Kingston sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bundy's guard. Kingston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kingston stands up from Bundy's guard - Kingston perhaps looking for a knockout. Kingston scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. The fighters circling - Bundy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bundy backing away here, and Kingston unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Kingston scores with a sloppy right hand. Bundy should have avoided that one. Bundy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kingston. Kingston looks to land a left hand but Bundy moved out of range nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kingston fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bundy. Bundy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Al Bundy has been cut. Mitch Kingston seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bundy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kingston doesn't seem bothered though. A head kick by Kingston - that's a beauty! Bundy is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Kingston can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
