Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jayson Tatum (ranked 1116 p4p, 2276 weight class) and Ashi Garami (ranked 150 p4p, 270 weight class). Jayson Tatum has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jayson Tatum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ashi Garami! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garami uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tatum.
Garami bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tatum's head backwards. Garami darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Tatum wants to control but Garami is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tatum holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garami thows a huge punch but Tatum dodges it nicely.
Garami throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Tatum is trying to control but can't.
Tatum looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garami prevents Tatum from improving his position. Tatum trying to control but Garami postures up.
Tatum tries to roll over but Garami keeps him under control. Tatum is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Garami is looking to advance position but Tatum won't allow it. Tatum moves into full guard.
Tatum keeping moving, preventing Garami from controlling successfully. Garami is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Garami wants to pass the guard but Tatum is keeping the position. Garami wants to control from the top but Tatum keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tatum lands a body shot.
Garami fails to land the takedown. Tatum throws a series of punches but Garami avoids them all with ease. Tatum looks to throw the jab but Garami is out of range. Tatum misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Garami.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garami looks for a takedown but Tatum sprawls well. Garami cracks Tatum with a right hand to the side of the head. Garami ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tatum moves away. Tatum appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Tatum connects with a right hand. Garami shakes it off.
It looks like Ashi Garami has been cut. Garami tries for a takedown but Tatum circles away easily and Tatum counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jayson Tatum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashi Garami. Tatum lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Garami wants to clinch and Tatum counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garami misses with a straight right. Tatum fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garami manages to avoid it. Garami gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Tatum to counter with a crisp jab. Some wild striking there from Tatum.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sloppy strikes from Tatum. Those never looked like landing. Garami with a lazy takedown attempt and Tatum counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Garami swings and misses with a shot to the body and Tatum counters with a straight right hand.
That has opened up Ashi Garami's cut even more. Garami tries for a takedown but Tatum sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Garami misses with an uppercut. Tatum saw that one coming. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jayson Tatum dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ashi Garami's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Garami scores with a hook to the body. Tatum takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ashi Garami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circling - Garami throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Tatum throws a combination. Garami tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Garami throws a poor cross that misses
and Tatum counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Garami misses with a body punch
and Garami takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tatum lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The cut above Ashi Garami's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Nice sprawl there from Tatum as Garami shoots in. Garami throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Tatum to counter with a crisp jab.
Garami is rocked! and Tatum counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Garami! He's just covering up as Tatum starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jayson Tatum! A very excited looking Jayson Tatum made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
