The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters lands a nice hook to Dean's body. Dean takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rohan Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dean is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Peters.
Dean looks to score with a jab to the body but Peters is just out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Dean dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Peters throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dean.
Peters seems to have got his legs back now.

Dean moves out of range as Peters strikes.
Dean clinches up with Peters and pushes him back against the cage.
Peters wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Dean.
Dean creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Peters with a big uppercut! Peters tries to clinch up but Dean pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Peters to the mat! Peters covers up and Dean unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
