Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Butler (ranked 3569 p4p, 3178 weight class) and Naoki Inoue (ranked 193 p4p, 173 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Maximo Butler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naoki Inoue! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler throws a leg kick that is checked and Inoue connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Maximo Butler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Butler closes the distance and pushes Inoue back into the cage. Inoue manages to break the clinch.
Butler has a takedown stuffed. Butler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Butler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Inoue swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximo Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. and Inoue counters with a lovely straight right hand! Inoue moves out of range as Butler strikes. Inoue swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Inoue throws a counter combo. Butler tries for a takedown but Inoue circles away easily and Inoue counters with a straight right hand. Butler shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Inoue looking for submissions off his back. Butler content to control rather than advance. Inoue looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Inoue actively working from the bottom here. Butler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Inoue has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Butler is working away from the top position though. Inoue is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Inoue is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Butler working for a submission but Inoue is keeping him at bay. Inoue is looking to get to half guard. Inoue tries to lock up and control but Butler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Butler sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Inoue tries to improve his position but instead Butler has taken his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Inoue is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Butler gets his way!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Inoue tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Butler misses with a takedown attempt letting Inoue counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximo Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. and Inoue counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Butler misses with a hook. Inoue ducked under it nicely. Inoue appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Butler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Inoue can do to turn this around? Inoue avoids a punch combination nicely.

Butler is rocked! Butler misses with a combination
and Inoue counters with a huge left! Butler is in big trouble! He's backing up but Inoue isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Butler from any more damage. A dominating finish by Inoue!
