Cross comes to the cage accompanied by Irregular God. Wolfgang Pauli has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Simon Cross's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross avoids a kick to the body.
Cross closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pauli's guard.
Cross drops back looking for a leg! Pauli is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pauli manages to kick Cross off! Cross jumps back into Pauli's guard.
Cross postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pauli is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cross, into his guard.
Pauli trying to control but Cross is working from the bottom.
Cross escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pauli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cross had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pauli defends it easily.
Cross working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pauli doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Cross is tightening it up a little... Pauli has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Pauli reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Pauli taps out! Nice BJJ there by Cross!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Simon Cross!
A less than humble Simon Cross misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
