The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Mercer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mercer.
It looks like Diego Hageman has been cut.
Mercer circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mercer counters with a nice right hand that sends Hageman toppling to the canvas! Hageman scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Mercer finish him?!
Hageman is rocked!
Hageman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hageman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice leg kick lands there from Mercer.
Mercer lands a big uppercut and Hageman crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hageman looks OK. Mercer waves Hageman back to his feet!
Hageman is still on wobbly legs! Can Mercer finish him?
Hageman misses with a combination
and Mercer counters with a huge right that knocks Hageman out cold! Mercer is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
