Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter Conway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jagger Benson! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benson shoots in for a takedown but Conway shows good takedown defense. As Benson tries to get set, Conway tries to push him back and clinch up but Benson manages to avoid the attempt. Conway keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Conway is looking to counter the offense by Benson and move into the clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Benson. Walter Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jagger Benson. Benson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Conway displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Benson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benson moves into the clinch.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Benson is defended easily by Conway. Conway is looking to counter the offense by Benson and move into the clinch. Benson looks winded! Benson moves into range and clinches up with Conway.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Conway prevents Benson from breaking the clinch. Benson avoiding damage.
A frustrated look appears on Benson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Conway keeps control of Benson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Benson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Conway clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Benson is controlling the position but Conway somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Benson thows a huge punch but Conway dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Benson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Conway controls his leg. Conway actively working from the bottom here. Benson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Conway's head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Benson uses his free foot to push down on Conway's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Conway. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Conway working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benson tries to buck Conway off but Conway is having none of it.

Conway goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Benson turns into him and now he's in Conway's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Benson forces his way into half guard. Benson controlling the pace. Benson with the ground and pound but Conway uses the opportunity to regain guard. Conway keeping moving, preventing Benson from controlling successfully. Benson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conway avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benson throws a big elbow that misses. Benson wants to pass the guard but Conway is keeping the position. Benson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Benson is looking to stand up but Conway won't let him.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Benson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Conway swivels and escapes. Benson is breathing heavily.

Walter Conway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jagger Benson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Conway turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
