The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Mack shoots in for a takedown but Fontaine shows good takedown defense.
Fontaine steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mack.
Mack fails to land the takedown.
Fontaine feints the counter takedown.
Mack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fontaine was covering up waiting for the punch and Mack finishes the takedown easily into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Mack (2) vs (0) Fontaine

Fontaine looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mack is one step ahead there.

Fontaine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fontaine is looking to cinch up a triangle. Mack throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Fontaine's body to avoid the submission. Fontaine has instead reached around Mack's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Fontaine arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
