This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 19 losses; Kael Gardener! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Excellent takedown into side control there by Shart. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Shart (4) vs (0) Gardener Gardener tries to buck Shart off but Shart is having none of it. Gardener struggling a bit here. Shart tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Gardener is trying to improve his position. Shart wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gardener, who protects the arm well. Gardener tries to bench press Shart off him but Shart keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shart working away. Gardener seems a little lost for a moment, as Shart dominates the positioning. He's hooked one of Shart's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shart's back!
