Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Malcolm Farquharson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryu Akutagawa!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akutagawa misses with a straight right.
Akutagawa throws a leg kick
and Farquharson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nice jab there from Akutagawa.
Akutagawa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Akutagawa misses with a looping left.
Farquharson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Akutagawa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Farquharson scores with a sloppy right hand. Akutagawa should have avoided that one.
Akutagawa throws a right hand that misses
and Farquharson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Akutagawa throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Farquharson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Akutagawa!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Akutagawa takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The ground and pound from Farquharson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Farquharson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Akutagawa!
Akutagawa is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Akutagawa is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Akutagawa avoids a series of strikes thrown by Farquharson.
Farquharson wants to control the pace but Akutagawa is squirming around nicely.
Farquharson lands with some strikes.
It looks like Ryu Akutagawa has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Farquharson won't let Akutagawa get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Akutagawa is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Farquharson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Farquharson is landing with some decent strikes but Akutagawa is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Farquharson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That has opened up Ryu Akutagawa's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ryu Akutagawa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
