PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elix Juarez (ranked 781 p4p, 719 weight class) and Aden Parker (ranked 106 p4p, 96 weight class). Aden Parker told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elix Juarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aden Parker!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker misses with a looping left.

It looks like Elix Juarez has been cut.
Parker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Parker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Parker sends Juarez crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Parker is motioning to the referee to let Juarez up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Juarez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Parker's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aden Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Parker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
