Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fiya Patron (ranked 2714 p4p, 24184 weight class) and Roland Verse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patron is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Fiya Patron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roland Verse! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patron uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Patron is breathing heavily. Verse connects with a right hand. Patron shakes it off.
It looks like Fiya Patron has been cut. Verse swings away with a body shot that misses
and Patron counters with a lovely straight right hand! Roland Verse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Verse moves out of range of the body kick from Patron.
Verse connects with a nice looking jab.
Verse misses with a jab, cross combination.
Patron takes one to the side of the head.
Verse throws a low kick, looking for Patron's leg but Patron calmly moves out of range. Patron was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Patron keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Verse. Patron ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Patron displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Verse throws out the jab. Verse swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Patron uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Verse. Sloppy strikes from Verse. Those never looked like landing. Verse fails to land with a series of punches.
Patron bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Patron throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Patron gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Verse waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Patron. Verse changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Verse takes the fight into the clinch. Verse breaks from the clinch.
Patron slips a jab from Verse. Verse looks to score with a jab to the body but Patron is just out of range. Verse connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Patron's hands.
Patron is rocked! Verse fails with an attempt to clinch.
Oh Patron is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Verse cracks Patron on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Patron falls backwards against the cage. Verse follows up with more strikes that drop Patron to his knees. Verse keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Patron! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roland Verse!
