The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Sadiq circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fuhren looks to clinch and Sadiq counters with a single leg into guard. Fuhren didn't expect that. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Sadiq (2) vs (0) Fuhren Fuhren wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sadiq wants to pass the guard but Fuhren is keeping the position. Fuhren looking to control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fuhren holds on and takes a little breather. Sadiq won't allow Fuhren to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fuhren keeping moving, preventing Sadiq from controlling successfully. Fuhren looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuhren is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sadiq trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fuhren wants to control but Sadiq is having none of it. Fuhren stops Sadiq from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Fuhren tries to improve his position but Sadiq has taken his back! Sadiq has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Fuhren tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Sadiq pushes Fuhren away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
