Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Alonso (ranked 25347 p4p, 3646 weight class) and Thomas Holmes (ranked 471 p4p, 379 weight class). Marcos Alonso has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcos Alonso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Holmes! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alonso tries a head kick but it misses.
Holmes with the counter takedown but Alonso avoids it easily. Holmes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alonso. That did some damage! Alonso lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Alonso with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Holmes to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Marcos Alonso has been cut. A jab from Holmes misses. Holmes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alonso manages to avoid it. Holmes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alonso was well out of range. Poor timing from Holmes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Alonso. Alonso lands with a cross. Holmes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Alonso. Horrible takedown attempt by Alonso or perhaps it was just good defense by Holmes, which made it look bad. Holmes misses with an uppercut. Alonso saw that one coming. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alonso uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Holmes. The fighters circling - Holmes throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Alonso fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcos Alonso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holmes thows a left - swing and a miss! Alonso throws a head kick but Holmes moves out of range.
Alonso closes the distance and clinches. Holmes has Alonso pressed against the cage, preventing Alonso from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Holmes working hard to break the clinch. Holmes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alonso has him pressed against the cage. Holmes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Alonso shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Holmes as he jumps to the side. Holmes loads up on a big right hand but Alonso slips the punch. Holmes rushes Alonso and presses him up against the cage. Alonso is trying to break free. Holmes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Holmes manages to break the clinch.
BOOM! Holmes lands a beautiful left hook that drops Alonso. Alonso tries to recover but Holmes is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Alonso lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Holmes! Thomas Holmes seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
