This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 29 wins and 19 losses; Anderson Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Dukat shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Dukat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie moves into the clinch.
Dukat is pressed up against the ropes. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dukat down to the mat. Dukat avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Dukat moves into the clinch successfully.
Gracie is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dukat is defending well.
Dukat has Gracie pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Gracie manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dukat drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gracie pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gul Dukat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dukat has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gracie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Gracie is pulling down on Dukat's head. It's preventing any offense from Dukat, at least for the moment.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Dukat controlling him for the moment.

Gracie lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dukat swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie is not content to let Dukat control the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Dukat's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Dukat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gracie tries to roll over but Dukat keeps him under control.

Gracie is looking to control Dukat's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted?

Gracie is controlling Dukat's position as best he can from this difficult position.
