The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Laperierre moves in looking to clinch but Curls pushes him off. Curls wants to counter with a clinch but Laperierre pushes him away. Laperierre is looking to clinch but Curls is avoiding it.
Laperierre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Curls as he avoids it easily. Curls keeps the fight on the outside.
