PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Thomas Babcock (ranked 674 p4p, 1230 weight class) and Leroy Brewer (ranked 80 p4p, 146 weight class). Babcock kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 70. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leroy Brewer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Babcock looks to land a right hand but Brewer moved out of range.
Brewer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Babcock with a body shot.
Brewer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Babcock tries for a takedown but Brewer circles away easily
and Brewer counters with a low kick, right behind Babcock 's knee.
Babcock ducks right into an uppercut from Brewer.

and Babcock counters with a takedown into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Babcock is taking a breather. Brewer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Babcock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
