Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Anderson (ranked 2537 p4p, 2979 weight class) and Jah Nino (ranked 309 p4p, 350 weight class). Jah Nino is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jah Nino! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson tries for a takedown but Nino circles away easily and Nino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Anderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nino looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Anderson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson trying to control the action but Nino is working from the bottom. Nino regains half guard there - taking advantage of Anderson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson controlling the action here. Anderson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Anderson tries to pass to full mount but Nino defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson content to control rather than advance. Anderson is keen to just control but Nino is a slippery customer. Anderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nino is just riding it out for now. Anderson eventually gives up the hold. Nino is trying to stand back up but Anderson is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anderson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Nino is staying active underneath Anderson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nino wants to get back to his feet.
Anderson is looking to advance position but Nino won't allow it. Nino is trying to stand up here but Anderson is controlling him well. Anderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nino does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Anderson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Nino is not content to let Anderson control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nino lands a head shot. Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nino swivels and escapes. Anderson closes the distance and clinches up with Nino, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes Nino against the cage but Nino circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Anderson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Nino is letting Anderson control him for a moment. Nino is trying to get back to his feet. Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Nino is not content to let Anderson control the position. Nino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nino tries to improve position but can't. Nino prevents Anderson from moving into mount. Anderson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Anderson is trying to move to mount but Nino reverses beautifully and ends up in Anderson's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nino scoring with some ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alex Anderson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Anderson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Nino lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Anderson ducks right into an uppercut from Nino.
Anderson is rocked! Anderson bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Nino comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Anderson falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Anderson was out before he hit the floor!
