Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gore Battle (ranked 4647 p4p, 4535 weight class) and Khamzat Chimaev (ranked 453 p4p, 0 weight class). Gore Battle looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Khamzat Chimaev!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Darius Henderson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chimaev clinches up against the cage.
Battle tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Battle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Chimaev counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Battle tries to keep at a distance but Chimaev has taken the fight into the clinch.
Battle trying to stall but Chimaev improves his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for Chimaev with that takedown attempt.
Battle half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
No joy there for Chimaev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chimaev shoots for a double leg takedown but Battle sprawls well. He's pushed Chimaev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Chimaev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gore Battle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khamzat Chimaev.

and Chimaev counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Battle is breathing heavily.
Chimaev won't allow Battle to get back to his feet.

Battle is looking to stand back up but Chimaev counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Battle.

Chimaev has hold of Battle's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Battle manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Chimaev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Battle on his heels. He'll look to pass Battle's guard now, I'm sure.

Chimaev slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Chimaev has hold of Battle's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Battle tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Chimaev cranks the arm and Battle screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Battle, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Khamzat Chimaev!
Post fight, an emotional Khamzat Chimaev said 'Alhamdulillah'.
