Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bal Rog (ranked 5004 p4p, 25275 weight class) and Kobe Mwinshehe (ranked 463 p4p, 508 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bal Rog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kobe Mwinshehe! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Rog. Beautiful body shot. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rog can't find room to land a body shot as Mwinshehe controls the action.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rog. Rog works on Mwinshehe's body with a couple of short punches. Rog definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Mwinshehe lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rog backwards. Rog misses with a hook from the clinch. Rog digs a right hand underneath Mwinshehe's ribcage. Mwinshehe let out a lung full of air as it connected. Rog swings away with an uppercut that misses.

He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rog is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Rog tries to work over Mwinshehe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mwinshehe looks to throw the jab but Rog is out of range. Rog is looking to wear down Mwinshehe with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Rog tries to clinch up but Mwinshehe circles away and keeps his distance. Mwinshehe tries to move into range but Rog moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Rog connects with a body shot that sends Mwinshehe's belly button to the back. Rog throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bal Rog is winning the standup battle so far. Rog throws a half hearted mid kick. Rog tries to clinch up. Mwinshehe misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rog tries to move into range but Mwinshehe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Rog takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rog moves out of range of the strikes. Mwinshehe looks to score with a jab to the body but Rog is just out of range. Rog is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Rog looks for the body kick but Mwinshehe saw that one coming. Rog closes the distance and pushes Mwinshehe back into the cage. Rog lands on the inside with an uppercut. Mwinshehe stalling in the clinch but Rog improves position. Mwinshehe working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Rog has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. This is the final round! Rog is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rog wants to clinch up but Mwinshehe keeps it at a distance. Rog throws a body shot but no joy. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mwinshehe! But no joy. Rog ducks under a wild hook from Mwinshehe. Rog thinks about countering with a head kick. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bal Rog. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rog, winning every round.
