Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Loser (ranked 4852 p4p, 25366 weight class) and Manuel Barren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, The Loser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manuel Barren!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loser swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Barren looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Barren looks for a takedown but Loser sprawls well.
Barren takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Manuel Barren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Loser scores with a three punch combo!
Loser tries to bum rush Barren with a series of wild strikes but Barren uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Barren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Loser rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barren moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Loser misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barren.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Donk. Loser catches Barren right on the button with a cross.

Loser shoots in and gets a takedown into Barren's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Loser controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Barren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barren wants to sweep but no luck.
Loser sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barren's guard.
Loser seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barren does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Loser maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Barren could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Loser has cracked it and Barren is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Loser!
