Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adriano Oliveira (ranked 2688 p4p, 4800 weight class) and Enzo Cooke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adriano Oliveira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Enzo Cooke! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Oliveira wants to control but Cooke is keeping him busy. Oliveira thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cooke's head. Cooke is pressing down on Oliveira's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Cooke pulls Oliveira in close to his closed guard and prevents Oliveira from doing any damage or advancing position. Cooke looking for a sweep. Not yet Cooke, not yet. Cooke is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cooke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oliveira can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cooke can do anything to dispel that myth. Oliveira trying to control the position from guard on top but Cooke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cooke looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Oliveira has picked Cooke up and slammed him! Cooke can't keep hold of the triangle and Oliveira manages to pass to side control! Cooke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oliveira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cooke is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooke is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Oliveira wants to control but Cooke is keeping him busy. Oliveira wants to free his trapped foot but Cooke is holding on for dear life with his legs. Oliveira stalling away here and it's allowed Cooke to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Cooke trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Cooke looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cooke working a defensive guard here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cooke is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliveira keeping moving, preventing Cooke from controlling successfully. Cooke looks winded! Cooke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Oliveira swivels though and keeps the full guard. Oliveira wants to get back to his feet but Cooke is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cooke must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cooke drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Oliveira dives on top into guard. Cooke is trying to keep Oliveira in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooke preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Oliveira wants to control from the top but Cooke keeps moving. Cooke is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Oliveira is aware though and is defending well. Oliveira would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Oliveira works a leg free and moves into half guard. Oliveira is trying to control the action in half guard but Cooke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cooke wants to get back to full guard but Oliveira has passed into side control. Cooke manages to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliveira prevents Cooke from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cooke keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Oliveira seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cooke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cooke regains full guard. Nicely done. Oliveira tries to free his leg and advance position but Cooke is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cooke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oliveira's guard. Oliveira wants to get back to his feet but Cooke is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Oliveira keeping moving, preventing Cooke from controlling successfully. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Adriano Oliveira will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Cooke walks into a straight right hand from Oliveira. Oliveira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Oliveira wants to control from the top but Cooke keeps moving. Cooke will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Cooke had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oliveira defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cooke is on top in guard.
Cooke drops back, looking for a kneebar! Oliveira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Oliveira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Oliveira!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooke is looking for a sweep. Cooke is breathing heavily. Oliveira working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Cooke tries to improve position but can't. Cooke can't do much from the bottom here. Oliveira cracks Cooke with a big elbow. Cooke is looking for a sweep. Oliveira stands up and beckons Cooke to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliveira gets a takedown into half guard. Oliveira is looking to take a break and control but Cooke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cooke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Adriano Oliveira overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Oliveira is trying to control the action in half guard but Cooke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cooke is looking for a sweep. Oliveira is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliveira looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Cooke is not content to let Oliveira control the position. Cooke looking for subs from the bottom but Oliveira mounts him! Cooke tries to improve his position but Oliveira has taken his back! Oliveira has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Cooke tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Oliveira pushes Cooke away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
