Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, David Budiman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Joyce!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Budiman moves out of range as Joyce throws a body kick.
Joyce throws a left and a right that both miss
so Budiman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Budiman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Joyce looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Budiman has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Joyce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Budiman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Budiman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Budiman trying to control the position from guard on top but Joyce is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Budiman drops back looking for a leg! Joyce is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Joyce manages to kick Budiman off! Budiman jumps back into Joyce's guard.

Budiman postures up and lands a big shot to Joyce's brow.
Budiman slips nicely into half guard.
Budiman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Joyce has hold of Budiman's hands but Budiman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Budiman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Budiman is looking for a kimura but Joyce is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Budiman to get the leverage.

Budiman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Joyce is refusing to be controlled, as Budiman sits in half guard.
Joyce has a hand on Budiman's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Budiman takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Budiman looking to secure an arm triangle but Joyce defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Budiman controlling the position easily from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Budiman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Joyce is looking to escape.
Budiman lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Budiman tries to control but Joyce wriggling away.
Budiman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Joyce is surviving well by controlling Budiman's body position as best he can.
Budiman breaks from Joyce's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Joyce swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Budiman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Joyce manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Budiman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Joyce's shoulder. That is not cool.
Budiman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Joyce is trying to control Budiman's posture but Budiman avoids it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
David Budiman dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Joyce connects with an inside leg kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Joyce!
Joyce tries to clinch
and Budiman counters with a head kick.
Joyce tries to clinch but Budiman moves out of range.
Joyce lands with a nice body punch.
Joyce throws out a powerful jab.
Budiman shoots in but no luck this time.
Joyce tries to close the distance and clinch up but Budiman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Budiman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Joyce can do to turn this around?
Joyce fails in his attempt to clinch.
It looked like Budiman was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A low kick from Joyce is predictable there
and Budiman counters with a shoot takedown. Joyce fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Budiman wants to control from the top but Joyce keeps moving.

Budiman stops Joyce from standing up.
Joyce wants to sweep but no luck.
Joyce is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Budiman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Budiman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Budiman stands and throws Joyce's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Joyce sneaks back into half guard.
Budiman moves into full mount! Joyce won't be happy about that!

Budiman throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Joyce has his hands clasped together but Budiman breaks the hold and Joyce is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Budiman!
