Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Hageman (ranked 21208 p4p, 23713 weight class) and Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 380 p4p, 393 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 34 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Hageman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krzysztof Zakrzewski! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hageman tries to close the distance and clinch but Zakrzewski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Zakrzewski fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hageman stuffs the takedown attempt from Zakrzewski. Zakrzewski gets slowly back to his feet. Hageman gets the takedown into side control. Hageman is looking to take a break and control but Zakrzewski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hageman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Zakrzewski is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hageman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zakrzewski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hageman misses with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ground and pound from Hageman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Zakrzewski is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hageman prevents Zakrzewski from improving his position. Zakrzewski wants to get back to his feet. Hageman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zakrzewski defends it well. Zakrzewski gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hageman content to stall in guard here. Hageman is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hageman wants to control from the top but Zakrzewski keeps moving. Hageman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Zakrzewski dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zakrzewski looking to sit in guard and control but Hageman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hageman sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zakrzewski trying to keep a closed guard but Hageman is proving a slippery customer.
Zakrzewski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hageman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zakrzewski manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hageman has Zakrzewski in his guard. Hageman has control of Zakrzewski's left arm, preventing Zakrzewski from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zakrzewski trying to control the position from guard on top but Hageman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hageman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hageman is breathing heavily. That was a close round but I would say that Diego Hageman will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Hageman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Zakrzewski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A head kick from Zakrzewski lands but Hageman takes it in his stride.
It looks like Diego Hageman has been cut. Zakrzewski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hageman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hageman is looking to get back to his feet here but Zakrzewski is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hageman's back. Zakrzewski looking to break Hageman's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hageman remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Zakrzewski will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Zakrzewski has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Zakrzewski trying to control momentarily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hageman is trying to remain composed but Zakrzewski is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Zakrzewski trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zakrzewski controls the action. Hageman is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zakrzewski has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hageman has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Hageman manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Zakrzewski is now in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hageman trying his best to control but Zakrzewski has mounted him. Zakrzewski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hageman is looking to escape. Zakrzewski lands a big elbow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zakrzewski looking to control but Hageman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Zakrzewski has been the more effective fighter overall so far. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Krzysztof Zakrzewski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Diego Hageman's cut. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round! No luck for Zakrzewski with that takedown attempt. Zakrzewski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Zakrzewski has managed to clinch.

Diego Hageman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzysztof Zakrzewski. Zakrzewski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zakrzewski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hageman manages to avoid it. Zakrzewski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hageman tries to avoid it but Zakrzewski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hageman to the ground. Hageman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Zakrzewski gets tackled into the cage by Hageman. Hageman maintains the clinch. Zakrzewski tries to land knees in the clinch but Hageman avoids the damage to the body. Hageman is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Zakrzewski to keep the fight standing. Hageman pulls guard. Hageman wants to sweep but no luck. Hageman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Zakrzewski stands up and waves to Hageman to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hageman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zakrzewski as he jumps to the side. Zakrzewski drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hageman defends it well. Zakrzewski fails with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Hageman or perhaps it was just good defense by Zakrzewski, which made it look bad. Zakrzewski shoots in looking for a takedown but Hageman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zakrzewski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Zakrzewski lands a high kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hageman looks to clinch and Zakrzewski counters with a three punch combo that has Hageman backing up. Hageman nods at Zakrzewski to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown but Hageman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. No luck for Zakrzewski with that takedown attempt. Hageman wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Hageman clinches up against the cage. Hageman misses with a body punch.
Zakrzewski tries to break free but Hageman pushes him back against the cage. Hageman has Zakrzewski pressed against the cage, preventing Zakrzewski from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Zakrzewski is pressed up against the cage. Hageman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zakrzewski down to the mat. Zakrzewski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hageman keeps the fight on the outside. Zakrzewski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hageman is trying to defend but Zakrzewski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hageman is concentrating on defense, preventing Zakrzewski from advancing position. Hageman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hageman is working hard here to advance position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hageman is looking to control Zakrzewski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hageman avoid being mounted?
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Diego Hageman. I think Hageman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
