Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Roman Shopulov (ranked 3680 p4p, 3906 weight class) and Titus Roux (ranked 291 p4p, 298 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roman Shopulov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Titus Roux!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Shopulov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shopulov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Roux is out of range.
Shopulov throws a head kick that misses
enabling Roux to counter with a crisp jab.

and Roux cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shopulov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Roux connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Shopulov's hands.

Roux fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shopulov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Roux lands a really nice looking cross but Shopulov seems unphased.
Shopulov walks into a stiff left hand from Roux.

enabling Roux to counter with a crisp jab.
Oh Shopulov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Roux moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Shopulov throws a combination that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Roux connects with a quick right hand that sends Shopulov tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
