Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Hossein Salami (ranked 4585 p4p, 24063 weight class) and Nicolaas Vanderloo (ranked 420 p4p, 513 weight class). Salami comes to the ring accompanied by allhamdulilah. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hossein Salami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nicolaas Vanderloo!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanderloo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Salami swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Salami avoids a punch combination nicely.
Salami was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Vanderloo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Jab, jab by Salami - just one landing.
Salami looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Vanderloo looks to land a left hand but Salami moved out of range nicely.
Salami swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A clash of legs there as Salami blocks the low kick.
Salami appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Salami defending well as Vanderloo loads up on a big left hand.
Salami scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Vanderloo throws a series of punches but Salami moves out of range.
Salami tried to counter with a leg kick but Vanderloo avoided it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salami slips under a jab from Vanderloo.
Salami displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vanderloo throws out the jab.
Vanderloo missing with a left hand there. Salami was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vanderloo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Salami doesn't seem bothered though.
Good standup being displayed there by Vanderloo as he connects with a hook.

Vanderloo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Salami's head backwards.
Vanderloo misses with a body shot.
Vanderloo misses with a hook. Salami ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circling - Vanderloo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vanderloo looks to land a right hand but Salami moved out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Salami darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A big right from Vanderloo misses.
As Vanderloo backs away, Salami returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Nicolaas Vanderloo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vanderloo works Salami's body with a nice hook.

Vanderloo ducks into a a hook from Salami and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

Vanderloo is rocked!

Vanderloo throws an off balance right hand
and Salami counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vanderloo is still on wobbly legs! Can Salami finish him?
Vanderloo slips a straight right by Salami.
Vanderloo throws a predictable looking body shot
and Salami counters with a huge right that knocks Vanderloo out cold! Salami is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hossein Salami!
Hossein Salami decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
