Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Musa Keita (ranked 4528 p4p, 4553 weight class) and Timothy Spence (ranked 415 p4p, 416 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Spence's choice of entrance music: He's A Mental Giant. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Musa Keita! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Timothy Spence! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Darius Henderson and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spence throws a hook to the side of Keita's head but Keita sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Keita throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Spence moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Spence swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Keita connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A big left from Spence misses. Keita lands with a kick to the ribs.
Keita definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Spence connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Timothy Spence seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Keita connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Spence's hands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Donk. Keita catches Spence right on the button with a cross. Spence stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Keita with the inside leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spence tries a head kick but it misses.

A punch combination from Spence misses. Spence's coach down at Gold Samurai\'s Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spence's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Spence misses with an uppercut
and Keita counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nice jab there from Keita. Keita chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Keita bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Spence's head backwards. Spence lands a head shot. Keita uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spence. A jab from Spence misses. Keita pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Spence connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Keita's hands. Spence misses with a left hand and Keita counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spence throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Keita counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Spence dips to his left and cracks Keita with an uppercut!
Keita is rocked! Spence throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spence throws a body shot but no joy. Keita quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Spence throws a shot from downtown. Keita moves away and avoids it. It appears Keita was looking to counter with a kick there. Spence stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Keita. Spence throws a series of punches but Keita avoids them all with ease. Keita darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Spence moves out of range as Keita strikes. Spence jabbing away but nothing is landing. Spence misses the jab. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Spence throws a hook but Keita avoids it easily. Keita scoring well with a low kick there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Timothy Spence will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Spence misses with a lunging right hand
and Keita counters with a nice uppercut. Keita uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spence.
Keita thows a left - swing and a miss! As Keita backs off Spence throws a huge counter combo but Keita manages to avoid it all. Keita moves out of range of the body kick. Keita ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Keita fires out a quick counter leg kick but Spence just manages to avoid it. Spence throws an off balance right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Spence misses with a lunging right hand
and Keita counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Spence throws a hook but Keita blocks it. Spence scores with a nice right hand.
Spence might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spence pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A chopping leg kick lands by Keita. Nice shot lands for Keita. Spence looks to throw the jab but Keita is out of range. Keita half committed to a counter leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spence is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Keita. Keita looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. A big left from Spence misses. Spence misses with a hook. Keita ducked under it nicely. Keita lands with a kick to the ribs.
Spence lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Keita throws a lazy right hand but Spence sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Spence throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Keita to counter with a crisp jab. Keita keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Spence. Spence's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A chopping leg kick lands by Keita. Spence scores with a jab. Keita scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Spence looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spence fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keita throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Spence looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Keita misses with an uppercut. Spence misses with a hook. Keita ducked under it nicely. A little feinted left hand from Keita on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Keita swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Spence. Spence loads up on a big right hand but Keita slips the punch. Spence waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Keita. Spence stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Keita. Spence throws the left hand but Keita avoids the punch easily. Keita scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Spence throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Keita. Keita lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Spence swings away with a leg kick that misses. Spence takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Musa Keita will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Spence throws a jab when Keita was well out of range. Spence lands a two punch combo.
Keita moves out of range as Spence strikes. Keita uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Spence. A jab from Spence misses. Spence misses with a right hand enabling Keita to counter with a crisp jab. Keita turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Spence misses with an uppercut. Keita keeps Spence at a distance using the push kick. Timothy Spence seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spence on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Keita. Keita obviously looking to wear him down.
Spence rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Keita moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Spence bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Spence misses with a double jab
and Keita counters with a nice kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keita lets loose with a powerful body kick. Spence will feel that in the morning. Spence takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Spence gets off balance looking for a body kick and Keita counters with a nice uppercut. Keita takes a swing at Spence's ribcage but misses. A big left from Spence misses. Good exchange - Keita coming out on top. Spence misses with a hook. Keita ducked under it nicely. Keita misses with a shot to the body and Spence counters with a nice uppercut. Keita lands with a thumping leg kick.
No joy there for Spence, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keita moves out of range of the strikes. Keita is looking to counter with a body kick. Keita loads up on a big right hand but Spence slips the punch. Spence missing with a left hand there. Keita was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Keita lets loose with a powerful body kick. Spence will feel that in the morning. This has been an exciting period of action! Keita fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Spence scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Keita slips a jab from Spence. Keita turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Keita lands a nice leg kick that just misses Spence's sensitive parts. Keita lands a nice looking body kick. Spence swings widly with a right hand
and Keita counters with a nice leg kick. Spence takes one to the side of the head.
Keita bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Musa Keita showed his dominance in that final round. Well Keita has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
