Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kane Thoupos (ranked 1577 p4p, 2116 weight class) and Gen Tenryu (ranked 184 p4p, 243 weight class). Thoupos comes to the cage accompanied by 151 Rum - JID. Tenryu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: piri & tommy - on & on. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Tenryu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thoupos manages to avoid it.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Thoupos here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kane Thoupos.
Well Thoupos has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
