Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chrissy Cure (ranked 3830 p4p, 24179 weight class) and Georges Laraque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chrissy Cure!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Laraque!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cure closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Laraque quickly recovers to half guard.
Cure is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cure's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Cure tries to stand but can't do so whilst Laraque controls his leg.
Laraque is looking for a sweep. Cure is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cure is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Laraque is just riding it out for now. Cure eventually gives up the hold.

Cure tries to stand and escape but Laraque is controlling the position.

Cure is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Laraque sees it coming and defends easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Laraque displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cure.

Cure slips a straight right by Laraque.

Cure manages to pull guard.
Cure is looking to stand up but Laraque isn't so interested in that idea.

Cure has his foot on Laraque's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laraque works his way back into a safe position though.
Laraque is looking to work some ground and pound but Cure has wrist control.
Laraque wants to get up but he can't break Cure's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cure on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cure tries to get out of the position.

Cure bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laraque's guard.

Laraque has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cure can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cure controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Laraque is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cure is controlling him.
Cure postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Cure will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cure got a little sloppy there for a moment and Laraque has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cure has managed to get both his arms back between Laraque's legs - danger averted.

Cure is working an open guard so Laraque takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cure tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Laraque defends well and Cure ends up having to push Laraque into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Laraque tries to throw a body punch but Cure avoids it by throwing Laraque back against the cage.
Laraque tries to pull guard but Cure holds him up against the cage and eventually Laraque drops back down to his feet.

Cure keeps control of Laraque as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Laraque wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Laraque manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Cure is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Cure drops Laraque with a beautiful combination! Laraque stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cure is looking for the KO!

Cure seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Laraque for as long as he can get away with.
